It has been brought to our attention that some of you have received a publicity e-mail from a FDM manufacturer, claiming that their FDM is 100 times faster then any other model from the competition.  
 
As a high-tech company, we don’t want to lower us to publicity tactics as often used by wash powder manufacturers. I’m sure you all have seen publicities like “our product washes whiter then the competition”.
Instead, we prefer giving facts and measurable comparable information.
 
Here under you will find the timing results (all in msec) for the most important messages, following the definition of T1 and T2 of the Circular
 
T1 = Time period between: -the LRC of a message and the ACK or NACK from the recipient (low-level protocol time)
T2 = Time period between: the ACK and the response message from the recipient (answer message time)
 
The times are calculated on a direct serial connection between the Cash register and the FDM and the average values (avg) are the result of 20 measurements.

The higher values for the Hash&Sign are caused by the extra time that is needed by the VSC to calculate and return the signature.
 
As you can see, we stay far below the acceptable times in the Circular of the government and if you divide these numbers by 100, any technically well informed person can see that a 100 times faster or even a 10 times faster is simply impossible.
 
In doubt, you can always ask the opinion of the FOD services about our measurements above.
